POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the direct leadership of the Tele-health program.  Maintains, develops, strengthens and tracks activities for the Tele-health program to increase utilization and expansion of specialty services for the state inmate population. Develops a systematic approach for Tele-health consultations for ease of tracking and reporting. Monitors clinical trends to bring to the attention of the clinical and operations teams.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Consult and/or interact with all levels of staff, management, executives, clients, and customers, government officials, Wardens, Superintendents, INDOC leadership, service delivery area and site medical and psychiatric directors, vendors, and community leaders.
  2. Write and/or update Tele-health policy and procedure.
  3. Works with the Information Technology department, Wexford and INDOC to ensure functionality of equipment.
  4. Monitor and evaluate through Continuous Quality Improvement opportunities to document identified outcome measures and areas for improvement.
  5. Provide Tele-health training for each service delivery area to provide on-going support and assistance related to Tele-health program.
  6. Initiate and/or expand the Tele-health program to ensure additional specialty clinics are available to provide consultation as indicated.
  7. Monitor all activities of Tele-health program provide continuous evaluation of program to improve efficiencies as needed.
  8. Maintain required documentation on all Tele-health consults to include submission of a monthly report as required by contract.
  9. Provide staff training in areas related to Tele-health  such as policy and procedure, Tele-health informed consent, and related topics.
  10. Direct leadership responsibility between Remote Tele-health Specialists or other remote entities and the Wexford Health clinical and operations teams.

    Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Related or Technical Field

    Preferred experience

    5 years health related experience.
