POSITION SUMMARY

Under general direction, the Duvall Quality Management Coordinator is responsible for data analysis including trend analysis, coordination of clinical audits/reviews, quality review audit documents; assists in problem identification and corrective action, reporting, and training.  He/she works with clinical and non-clinical staff with regard to the performance of Duvall from clinical reviews/audits, collects/analyzes and review documents; and coordinates the development and implementation of corrective action plans.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. In accordance with the Duvall Settlement executed by plaintiff, provide ongoing clinical oversight to ensure adherence to the agreement.  
  2. Maintain a high level of knowledge and understanding of the Duvall Agreement, DPSCS and company polices/ procedures including developed processes and clinical protocols.
  3. Ensure the maintenance of audit results and supportive documentation records to comply with all sections of the Settlement Agreement.
  4. Collaborate with leadership to ensure effective and efficient corrective action plans are implemented and monitored with documented outcomes for non-compliant trends.
  5. Collaborate with other vendors, subcontractors and custody to address trends of pertaining to deficiencies involving clinical care and coordination of services.
  6. In accordance with the Duvall agreement, analyze data and prepare monthly reports as required by DPSCS and the Settlement Agreement.
  7. Perform ongoing review of audit documents for accuracy and completeness prior to submitting data electronically.
  8. Train clinical and administrative staff on audit process related to the Duvall Settlement Agreement.
  9. Ensure all clinical reviews adhere to the specified methodologies.
  10. Attend MAC, Access to Care and CQI meetings for Duvall associated facilities.
  11. Periodic Chart audit validation to ensure adherence accurate assessments.
  12. Responsible for the completion and compilation reports, supportive documents for final submission.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Standard office setting and medical setting in a correctional facility, which includes daily interfacing with inmates, correctional staff, and health care personnel.

Temperature extremes may be encountered while moving throughout the facility outdoors and indoors in buildings without air conditioning.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

The following requirements list the minimum to qualify.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.

LICENSING: Maryland Registered Nurse

CERTIFICATION: CPR, Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) preferred

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years clinical experience

EDUCATION: Registered Nurse

OTHER PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • General math and analytical skills, and planning, administrative and organizational skills essential.
  • Proficient in the use of computer, dictating and copying equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience meeting multiple deadlines.  Must ensure documents are ready for review well in advance of any deadline.
  • Ability to competently manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Must be able assist staff with understanding various policies, administrative and organizational projects.
