POSITION:           Podiatrist
SCHEDULE:         Part Time – 1 day per week

POSITION SUMMARY
The Podiatrist is responsible for diagnosing and administering treatment for foot and lower leg injuries in order to optimize ambulatory function for patients in a correctional environment. This will sometimes utilize modalities such as X-ray examination and laboratory tests; prescribing medications, supplying and fitting podiatric appliances to aid patients in moving; treating various kinds of foot/lower limb abnormalities such as feet calluses, corns, nail ingrowth, tumors, and abscesses; referring patients to other healthcare experts such as physical therapists and general practitioners for the treatment of systemic disorders like arthritis or diabetes, which can affect the feet and lower legs.

Our podiatrist will work 1 clinic day per week.
Location is primarily at the Concord, NH correctional campus most weeks with 1 clinic day per month at the Berlin, NH correctional facility (travel expenses provided)

JOB REQUIREMENTS
TRAVEL: Travel to all NH DOC facilities required – Concord and Berlin 
LICENSING: 

  • Current New Hampshire Podiatric Medical license required

CERTIFICATION: Current CPR certification required.
EXPERIENCE: 5 years clinical podiatric experience in an institutional healthcare setting preferred. 
EDUCATION: DPM or equivalent degree
