POSITION: Regional Medical Director (physician)
SCHEDULE: Full Time, Mon-Fri 8AM – 5PM
FACILITY: Oversees medical healthcare throughout NHDOC
LOCATION: Based out of Concord, NH regional office (onsite)

ESTIMATED SALARY: $300,000- $320,000
POSITION SUMMARY
The Regional Medical Director leads and oversees Wexford Health’s medical practice on a state-wide basis in order to ensure and promote quality medical care. He/she is ultimately responsible for all health care provided by Wexford Health Sources and delivered to the New Hampshire facilities. Serves as the liaison between Wexford Health and the New Hampshire Department of Corrections medical authority and maintains good relationships with facility, regional and corporate staff.
▪ Direct clinical supervision provided by the Corporate Chief Medical Officer and administrative supervision provided by the Statewide Program Manager
▪ Provides Direct clinical supervision of site Staff Physicians and Nurse Practitioners
RELATIONSHIPS
▪ Interrelates and works effectively with patients, patient families as appropriate, medical, mental health and nursing staff, security staff at all levels, administrative and support staff, consulting physicians, New Hampshire DOC medical authorities, community healthcare providers, WHS legal representation, WHS regional team members and corporate staff as required.
TRAVEL
Travel to NH DOC facilities – most located in Concord with 1 in Berlin
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
LICENSING
Current New Hampshire physician license (required at start date, can assist in attaining N license)
Current New Hampshire Controlled Substance license (required at start date)
Current DEA required
CERTIFICATION
Current CPR certification hands-on (required at start date)
EDUCATION
Medical Degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine required
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
5 years clinical experience in an institutional healthcare setting preferred.
2 years managerial/leadership experience or training in administrative aspects of health care preferred. Correctional healthcare experience preferred.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated experience maintaining multiple deadlines
• Ability to competently manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Ability to work in a stressful environment
