Position Summary
As a Behavioral Health Technician at our facility, you’ll be an essential part of the multidisciplinary team, working directly with patients to support their mental health and daily stability. In this hands-on role, you will help guide therapeutic activities, reinforce treatment plans, and provide structured support to individuals with mental illness or developmental needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and facilitating therapeutic group activities designed to support patient engagement and progress
  • Providing direct supervision and support to patients within mental health programs and housing unit
  • Observing patient behavior and reporting changes to the clinical team to support ongoing care decisions
  • Assisting in the implementation of individualized treatment plans through structured activities and interventions
  • Evaluating patient capabilities and recommending appropriate program participation
  • Offering one-on-one support and instruction to reinforce coping skills and daily functioning
  • Maintaining accurate administrative and clinical documentation related to patient care and activities
  • Coordinating and managing supplies and materials needed for therapeutic programming
  • Collaborating with the treatment team to ensure activities align with clinical goals and patient needs
  • Following all behavioral health policies, procedures, and facility protocols to maintain a safe and structured environment

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • Current CPR certification
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of therapeutic activity programs; have ability to plan, organize, direct, and participate in recreation/leisure activities; and have ability to prepare, set-up and maintain equipment related to therapeutic activities (Preferred)
