POSITION: Psychiatric Technician
SCHEDULE: Full-Time 40 Hours/Week
FACILITY: Douglas County Correctional Center
LOCATION: Omaha, NE

As a Psychiatric Technician, you'll play an important role in supporting patients with mental health and developmental needs while helping create a safe, structured therapeutic environment.
Position Summary
As a Psychiatric Technician, you'll work as part of a multidisciplinary behavioral health team, providing therapeutic support and supervision to patients participating in mental health programs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and facilitating therapeutic activities designed to support treatment goals and patient progress
- Providing direct supervision, support, and instruction to patients within behavioral health programs and housing units
- Observing patient behavior, evaluating participation, and communicating concerns or recommendations to the treatment team
- Maintaining accurate clinical and administrative documentation while supporting quality improvement initiatives
- Assisting with program operations, including supplies, equipment, and medication area organization
- Collaborating with behavioral health staff to promote patient stability, safety, and recovery

What You’ll Need
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
- Current CPR certification
- One (1) year of Psychiatric Technician experience preferred
- Correctional healthcare experience preferred
