Part Time  Administrative Assistant NEEDED!

20 hours per week!!

POSITION SUMMARY

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for supervision and direction of the secretarial/clerical staff.  Also, the Administrative Assistant will provide secretarial support to the supervisor of materials management.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Distribution of assignments to secretaries
  2. Answer telephones and respond to phone requests
  3. Prepare outgoing correspondence as required.
  4. Create and maintain all files
  5. Assist with typing and word processing for the department.
  6. Assist with the Quality Improvement minutes and meeting preparation.
  7. Provide training for secretarial staff.

The duties and responsibilities outlined herein are for payroll purposes only; employees may be assigned other duties as required.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Standard medical setting in a correctional facility, which included daily interfacing with inmates/patients, correctional staff, and health care personnel.

Job Requirements:

 

TRAVEL: Minimal travel required.

LICENSING: None required.

CERTIFICATION: Current CPR certification

EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in an Administrative Secretarial position
  • Previous experience with supervision preferred

OTHER PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Typing skills of 50 WPM
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel
  • Microsoft Access a plus
