Wexford Health has an exceptional opportunity for a Full Time Night Shift Registered Nurse to join our team of healthcare professionals at Mohave County Detention Center in Kingman, AZ.

$5,000 Sign on Bonus

POSITION SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.  Also directs and guides patient teaching activities and ancillary personnel, while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Interrelates and works effectively with patients, medical and other nursing staff, security staff at all levels, and administrative and support staff.

Minimum Requirements:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 

Licensing

Current Arizona Registered Nursing (RN) License

Certification

Current CPR Certification

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN Preferred

Preferred experience

One (1) year clinical experience, preferred

correctional experience, a plus

Other preferred knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Flexible, dependable, and reliable

  • Demonstrates knowledge of and performance of nursing policies and procedures
  • Ability to competently manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Be capable of giving CPR instructions and ability to take charge in a CPR emergency

  • Assume individual accountability for own conduct and maintenance of professional appearance
  • Approach change in a positive manner
  • Maintain the confidentiality of inmate records
  • Must be able assist staff with various policies, administrative and organizational projects. “team-player” as this position requires daily coordination with other coworker
