POSITION:     Dental Assistant
SCHEDULE:     Part-time, 8 hours every Tuesday
FACILITY:      Denmar Correctional Center  
LOCATION:    Hillsboro, WV 24946

Wexford Health Sources, Inc. has been delivering quality healthcare to underserved populations for over 30 years. As a Dental Assistant, you’ll play a hands-on role in supporting patient care and ensuring smooth, efficient dental operations.

Position Summary
Working under the supervision of the Dentist, you’ll assist in providing dental care while maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized clinical environment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the dentist chair-side during exams and procedures
• Preparing patients for treatment and supporting dental hygiene education
• Sterilizing instruments and maintaining infection control standards
• Setting up and breaking down treatment areas and equipment
• Taking and processing intra-oral x-rays as permitted
• Maintaining accurate patient records within the medical record system
• Managing dental supplies, inventory, and equipment maintenance
• Supporting dental sick call and emergency screenings
• Ensuring the dental clinic remains clean, stocked, and ready for daily operations

What You’ll Need 

• High School diploma or GED required
• Experience working in a dental setting and/or correctional health care preferred
• CPR certification required
• Dental certification preferred
